Fused Magnesia is produced by melting high-purity Magnesite feedstock such as Dead Burned Magnesia or Caustic Calcined Magnesia in electric arc furnaces at temperatures above 2800°C, resulting in a dense, crystalline structure rich in magnesium oxide (MgO). This process eliminates impurities, enhancing its refractory properties such as high refractoriness, excellent thermal shock resistance, and chemical stability.
